SAN LORENZO DE EL ESCORIAL

**FR** Le site palais/monastère royal de l'Escorial se situe à 45km de Madrid. J'y suis allée en train, seulement 1 heure. C'est un palais magnifique construit de 1563 à 1584. Il fut commandé par le roi Philippe II d'Espagne. Il rassemble la basilique, la grande bibliothèque aux 45000 volumes, le palais royal, le monastère, les jardins.

Le site est inscrit au patrimoine mondiale de l'UNESCO depuis 1984.

Nous l'avons malheureusement visité sous la pluie et n'avons pas pu profiter des jardins, néanmoins nous avons visité l'intérieur qui était très beaux et assez incroyable et n'avons pas loupé la richesse de ce beau palais royal de l'Escorial.

**EN** The royal site palace/monastery of El Escorial is situated at about 45km of Madrid. I went by train in only 1 hour.

It's a beautiful palace build from 1563 to 1584. Ordered by the King Philippe II of Spain. It gather the Basilica, The old and huge library with 45000 books, the royal palace, the monastery and the gardens.

The site is registered in the heritage of UNESCO since 1984.

Unfortunately we visited it under rain and also couldn't visit the gardens. Nevertheless the interior was very pretty and we don't missed the wealth of this incredible palace of El Escorial .

**ES** El real palacio/monastrerio de El Escorial se situa a 45km de Madrid. Fui con el tren en solo 1 hora.

Es un palacio lindo, construido desde 1563 hasta 1584. Fue pedido por el rey Felipe II de España. Se compone de La Basilica, La Biblioteca con sus 45000 libros, el palacio real, el monasterio y los jardines.

El sitio es en la lista de UNESCO desde 1984.

Por desgracia visitamos sobre la lluvia, y no podemos ir en los jardines. Sin embargo, el interior fue muy bonito i no perdimos la riqueza de este guapo palacio real de El Escorial.
